Our 94th Year: A Letter from Our President

Since 1930, Columbus Music Teachers' Association (CMTA) has had a continuous presence in Columbus and its neighboring areas. CMTA offers opportunities for teachers of all instruments, voice, and ancillary music subjects to further their education and teaching skills in a relaxed and informal setting. We also offer both competitive and non-competitive opportunities for students of all ages and levels.

Join Us!

Greetings to New and Returning Members!

I am honored to be returning as President and hope to take this group in a new direction. There are many organizations that involve all performance levels, and we will also have those opportunities. We are also adding a higher level of recitals for the more advanced students, including more master classes.

I would like to thank our patrons who have sponsored the monetary prizes for our achievement awards, and others who donated in memory.

We will be offering three master classes, including one for younger students of ages 9 to 12 who have achieved a higher level of performance.

And lastly, we offer a big thank you to both Paul Graves and Zach Graves for the use of their beautiful Recital Hall and use of their incredible 9ft grand pianos.

From a social media standpoint, one of this year’s goals is to finally get our web page working. We thank Laraine Martin and Oliver Martin who have decided to help us achieve this goal. I am trying to maintain a solid presence on social media.

As always, I wish to thank the board for all their hard work and their help in keeping this organization going. I look forward to working alongside you this year.

All the best,

Kathleen Stephenson Sadoff
